Building and repairing string instrument since 1978, Nowa Crosby has been Martin Guitar's authorized luthier in Burlington, VT since 1996. Our shop has withstood the test of time maintaining good quality service and forging loyalty with our musician friends. Today, we are authorized to serve patrons in behalf of Martin Guitars, Taylor, Fender, Eastman and several other major companies. We process the paperwork with above mentioned companies to determine warranty qualification coverage.

All instruments are play-tested before releasing them and we guarantee repairs for 6 months with some exceptions. Fret work is 90 days warranty. Special attention is given to our professional musician customers to minimize repair time. We recognize the importance of individual preferences of "feel" and response, so every effort is made to accommodate your taste. We are happy to review any issues that may arise with repairs. However, taking the instrument to another luthier or technician voids the warranty. We cannot be responsible or be held accountable for any third party opinion or work.

Turn around time for most repairs is 3 to 4 weeks, but some major repairs may take 1-3 months depending on work load. We make appointments for service so we can give you undivided attention. Nowa is also available even outside store hours and can be contacted at 802-865-3890 or email: randolin1@gmail.com. We make every effort to be flexible and meet your busy schedule.

Instrument Set Up - $35: includes but not limited to Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Violin or other string instrument.

We accept all string instrument repairs including dulcimers and harp string work, set up and tuning. We can often turn around set up time the same or next day, depending on the bulk of work in queue. Whenever possible, we provide loaner instruments for musicians with immediate needs/performance while waiting for repair.

Although we carry an extensive inventory of spare parts for most ordinary instruments, occasionally we must order parts from the manufacturer. Obviously this will take some more time and over this we have no control. Estimates, if requested, will be made. Actual charges are based on time and materials. All of our labor is charged at $60 per hour and rated at 10ths of an hour. The minimum shop fee is $10. Repair charges for individuals must be paid before the instruments leave our shop. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, cash, or personal check.

Policy for unclaimed repaired instrument:
Customer is notified when repair work is done. It is the responsibility of customer to notify the repair shop if their contact information has changed. Unclaimed repaired instruments left 90 days or longer after the repair work has been done will be considered abandoned and are subject to being sold/auctioned for the repair, stockroom, humidification, and handling charges.

Return Policy for purchased items: 7 Days for items bought at the store, 3 Days for items bought online.
